Patricia Edgington (Hamant)

Edgington (Hamant), Patricia L., age 46 of Westerville, formerly of Centerville, OH died Thursday, April 16, 2015 at The James at Ohio State surrounded by family & dear friends. She had fought bravely leukemia & a rare blood disease for 20 months. She was born to Thomas & Judith Hamant on March 1, 1969. Patty graduated from Centerville H.S. & Ohio State University. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Edward & Frances Hamant & her maternal grandparents Dale & Maxine Jordan. She is survived by her parents Thomas & Judith, brother Steven (Susan) & their son Jason along with her 3 loving children Joseph, Lukas & Alexis. Patty loved her children very much. For the last 15 years, she was employed at Covidien (now Medtronics ) in sales in the Vascular division where she won numerous sales awards. The family wishes to thank Covidien for their unwavering support during her 20 month struggle. Patty's children attended Central College Christian Academy where Patty served as PTO president. Her children receiving a Christian education was very important to her. Pat was very fortunate to have many friends & family who supported her to the very end. Family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 PM at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E Schrock Rd. Westerville, OH & Monday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM at the Schlientz & Moore Funeral Home, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Centerville, OH with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the James Cancer Hospital at OSU. .
