Ed Koehnen

<p>Koehnen, Jr. Edward L. Age 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Hospice of Dayton. Born in Dayton, OH on October 5, 1931, to the late Edward and Helen (Wehner) Koehnen. He is preceded by his sister, Mary Louise Koehnen, sisters-in-law Marilyn Agnew, Doris Wellmeier, and brother-in-law Louis Wellmeier. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol (Wellmeier) Koehnen; three children, Karen (Michael) Hingsbergen of Springboro, Cheryl (Robert) Pry of Springboro, and Edward Koehnen III of Centerville; six grandchildren, Andrew, Scott, Thomas, and Melanie Hingsbergen, and Abigail and Madison Pry. Edward was a 1950 graduate of Chaminade High School and attended the University of Dayton. He was a charter member of St. Henry Parish. He was an Army veteran during the Korean War Era. He retired from Nutone as a Sales Manager, and later volunteered for ten years at Yankee Trace Golf Club. He was past President of Alter Boosters, and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council 500. He is also survived by brothers-in-law Donald Wellmeier and Thomas Agnew, his friends the Boat People and all his wonderful family and special friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 22 from 4-7 pm at Schlientz &amp; Moore Funeral Home, W. Centerville Rd. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 23, 11:00 am at St. Henry Church, Springboro Pike. The family would like to thank Hospice of Dayton for their loving care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of Dayton. </p>
