Geraldine K. Surd

Geraldine K. Surd (Eckert), age 71 of Centerville, born January 28, 1943, died July 8, 2014, a lifelong resident of the Dayton area. A graduate of Oakwood High School class of 1961 & member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Oakwood. She was a voracious reader always with her head in a book. She loved to cook & entertain. She & her husband Tom loved to play cards, especially bridge. They traveled a good deal, and were known to visit a casino or two along the way. She was preceded in death by her parents William & Geraldine Eckert, in laws Frank & Marie Surd & sister in law Diana Surd Snape. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Thomas M., cherished sons Jeffrey Thomas & Brian Todd (Sue Ann) & grandson Jason Todd whom Gram loved beyond words, brothers in law David Surd & William Snape, nephews William (Arin Kay) Snape Jr. & Andrew (Amber) Snape. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor and her smile. Family will receive friends Friday, July 11, 2014 from 5 to 8 PM with funeral services at 8 PM at the Schlientz & Moore Funeral Home, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Road (St. Rt. 725), Rev.
